New Tata Punch EV Facelift Arrives in Nepal Ahead of Launch
The updated Tata Punch EV facelift has arrived in Kathmandu ahead of its official launch at the upcoming NAIMA Nepal Mobility Expo 2026.
The new Punch EV facelift brings a larger battery pack, improved performance, updated styling, and additional features, marking the first major update to Tata Motors’ smallest compact EV.
The Nepal-spec Tata Punch EV facelift will come with a 40 kWh battery pack, paired with a front-mounted electric motor powering the front wheels.
The electric motor produces 129 hp and 154 Nm of torque, offering an ARAI-certified range of 468 km and a claimed real-world (C75) range of around 355 km.
Tata claims the Punch EV facelift can accelerate from 0-100 km/h in under nine seconds and comes with three drive modes — City, Eco, and Sport — along with four levels of regenerative braking adjustable through paddle shifters.
Charging performance has also improved, with the SUV supporting 65 kW DC fast charging. Tata claims a 20-80 percent charge can be completed in 26 minutes, while a 15-minute top-up can add up to 135 km of range. The updated battery system also benefits from improved thermal management and better efficiency.
The Punch EV facelift receives a cleaner exterior design inspired by the latest ICE Punch facelift. It gets a redesigned front bumper, closed-off grille, new 16-inch alloy wheels, updated colour options, and connected LED tail lamps at the rear. It continues to offer 195 mm ground clearance and 450 mm water-wading capability.
Inside, the SUV retains its familiar dashboard layout but receives updated trims and improved technology. Higher variants feature a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system and a 10.25-inch digital driver display, along with features such as wireless charging, ventilated seats, connected car technology, and a 360-degree camera.
Safety features include six airbags as standard, electronic stability control, hill-hold assist, tyre pressure monitoring system, high beam assist, and ISOFIX child-seat mounts.
With its bigger battery, longer range, refreshed design, and updated features, the Tata Punch EV facelift is expected to strengthen Tata Motors’ electric vehicle lineup in Nepal.
